A couple of weeks ago I decided to tag along with my little bro and cousin and take some pictures of them while they do what makes them happy: Skateboarding at the park. I found out that they are pretty dope when it comes to Ollies. Check them out:
You see the message on the skateboard

So spring has been in existence for about 3 weeks now and I have FINALLY found time to post these Spring Portraits that was taken ions ago...
I would like to first thank all the lovely parents and A for AWESOME kids that came out to participate in the Spring Portrait Sessions...you guys were the highlight of my weekend. So many laughs we shared...made me sing for the remainder of the weekend, the KidsR'Us theme song:
"I dont wanna grow up...I'm a ToysRUs Kid
There's so many toys at ToysRUs that I can play with
from bikes to train to video games
it's the biggest toy store there isss
I dont wanna grow cause if I did
I wouldnt be a Toys'RUs Kiddd"
They really made my day and here are the photos to show how much of an awesome time they had in front of the camera...
Hope you enjoy:
He picked this flower for his mom....

A black and white classic. Dont ya think?

Renovatio Soul is a multi dimensional art show incorporating elements of visual, performance, and fashion art. As 'change agents' this generation has been penned for capitalizing off cultural trends and neo cultural influences. While the nature of the art itself has been compromised in the past decade, its overall significance remains true today. In graphic, physical, or performance based form, urban art tells stories and narrates the experiences of a generation in progress. Renovatio, being Latin for 'rebuild', highlights the need to revitalize this community by showcasing infused artistic dynamics and providing a space for open network and collaboration.

I am late with this post, but life has been in existence and in 5th gear. I wanted to share photos of the coldest shoot ever.... It was Thursday, February 7th, 2009 and if anyone can remember it was about 17 degrees that day. I dont know what made us pick that day but since she was here in DC, we had to make the best of it and thats what we did.
Check it out:
This model is a true champion ladies and gentlemen. She didn't mind the freezing cold at all and didn't once complain. It was I that wrapped things up after about 15 minutes. I'm not a soldier like she is....I'm sort of a spring chica. However, standing the cold weather was all worth it....I think we were able to capture some awesome shots. What do you think?
I believe Ms. Erykah Badu said it best:
see he's organized
and he's on the ball
never miss a day of school
and he's an underdog
wanna know more and more
'cause his mama taught him good
he's about to change face
of your ghetto neighborhood.
(Soilder-New Amerykah: 4th World War)
With that being said, I truly believe that OUR New President Mr. BarackObama (along with his wife Michelle Obama) is definitely about to change the face of, not only the ghetto neighborhoods, but ALL neighborhoods across the UNITED States of America. He has already done so much wouldn't you say? I mean, how many people can you honestly say was able to get a Nation of individuals together and have them on one accord....CHANGE. Some may compare him to Kennedy, but in my eyes, I have never felt as though a politician has ever had my best interest at heart. Not because he’s black, but because he exemplifies such a genuine interest in how the American people are treated. And that’s a quality that, sad to say, not many politicians posses. I believe in Change, therefore, I believe in Obama!
With that being said, sit back, relax and enjoy the wonderful photos documenting this Historic event
……………………………
And who did i see as soon as I arrived....
if you look closely you'll see that it's the other guy: John McCain!
Once he realized he had been spotted by the paparazzi, he rolled his window up so you have to look vewwy vewwy closely.
“....it's him, you know....the other guy”.
When I finally arrived at The National Mall I quickly noticed that those in the crowd didn't waste time getting the party started...
If that isn’t a clear indication that Barack Obama is bringing the Nation together, I dont know what is. Who else can get people to do the electric slide at the crack of dawn on the coldest day of winter and STILL manage to have a huge smile on their face?
And of course while walking through the crowd I spotted EVERY type of Obama paraphernalia you could think of but this one here was definitely the REALIST shirt I've ever seen:
~Libertee Designs~

I was also digging the Obama head gear that was available
What you think?
……and calendars
It was actually good to see my people get up and get out and seize the opportunity to profit off of this remarkable and historic
occasion.

I liked this one…
Good

In the
World
I thought it was cool.

He literally had the best seat in the house.

A sack full of flags is what she had

An interview by WGN Chicago with a Chicago native that came out to support her previous Senator, Barack Obama.
Let me break for a moment and share with you just how real this was for me. I was freezing my buns off out there but it was all so worth every moment of it. Please take note that I was NOT playing with that cold air out there. Even for a picture, I refused to take down my scarf lol.
It was just the 3 of US.... amongst about 3 million other people, and I loved every minute of it.
People coming together from various nationalities…All because we share something in common:
HOPE
... ... ... ... ... ...
The sun shining down upon US=U.S.
... ... ... ... ... ...
Then I looked ahead and saw…
Then...
...lights, camera, action
... ... ... ... ... ...
Once it was all said and done. And the new President was sworn in…the crowd was absolutely elated and overcome with joy…
I’m going to end with one picture that wraps this experience up for me…
I believe we ALL are proud to be Americans…some for the very first time in their lives.
So Michelle, you are NOT alone.
